What’s this song about and what was the inspiration?
The song, “Seducing Your Fire” is about the psychological laziness of people, and is a call to action for living fully and communicating with one’s inner self, unabridged. No relying on an “afterlife,” just respecting the existence of now.
Who wrote the music / lyrics and what was the creative process on this song?
I wrote the music and lyrics for the song. It began with a melody I kept humming to myself a little over a year ago. From there I built the electronics/instrumentals, and eventually found lyrics that were relevant to my feelings at the time. I rarely start with the vocals, so it was an interesting writing experience for me!
Where was it recorded and who was it produced by?
I recorded the vocals at Taylor Barefoot studios, where I also had it produced. I recorded the violin and synth parts myself as I always do.
Where does this song fit in your live act?
I pretty much always play this song second to last. It is my last song with vocals before my electric violin dubstep shred, “Galaxies,” which I always close with.
